Full Moon in Aries - Expression of Will

FULL MOON IN ARIES:

Today marks the culmination of a six month process we began back in April of expressing our will, drive and desires in a new way.

We may have decided last spring to begin something new, something that allowed us to step into our power. Today we see the culmination of that New Moon, but not without some awkwardness and confusion.

We have a total of FIVE personal planets today in the first degree’s of their new signs. When a planet changes signs, it is similar to birth, a new flavor and expression that it is getting used to. With the Sun, Moon, Mars, Uranus and Saturn all embarking in NEW energy, this is some unfamiliar albeit exciting new territory.

We have in today’s reading the Two of Swords, the Ace of Swords and the Page of Swords showing up blocked surround the Hermit card. This speaks to an energy of doubt, confusion and inability to see our path forward in a clear way. In the dominant position we have the Two of Swords, suggesting that the confusion may be springing from the imbalance of our ideas versus another. The two’s always symbolizing balance, this could suggest a confliction of beliefs. This may be showing up within our selves as self doubt in where we are headed, having being completely new to this expression of our masculine archetypes it can feel much like learning to ride a bike again. It can be showing up in what we want and where we are headed, an old self that we are detaching from may be being grasped at by another causing us an inner battle in if we are on the right path. Chiron conjunct this Full Moon says that whatever comes up for us today and the following weeks will need to be faced and worked through in order to feel confident in what we are stepping in to. Much like riding a bike, there will be bumps and bruises perhaps before a natural integration of all the motions to achieve a graceful moving ride. Chiron has been in Aries for a few months, attempting to heal the collective masculine and bring it into unison with the archetypal feminine. Conjuncting today’s Full Moon we are being a given an opportunity to heal any naysayers, both internally and externally who disagree with the way our will and masculinity is evolving. If these sword reversals are showing up as guilt from the choices you’ve made recently, allow yourself to receive joy for choosing what is best for you. Much of healing our masculine will be cultivating an apologetic nature for choosing new paths and actions. The Hermit asks us to seek solitude, to move inward and to find our light and inner wisdom. This is the place of knowing and submission. It asks us to give ourselves permission to experience this pause to find our inner knowing. The Hermit is most comfortable in a landscape of alone-ness, stillness and quiet. We have to allow ourselves to turn off the distractions of the outer world and pressures to find clarity in what is best for us and us alone.

Parallel to our search for clarity we have the Three of Pentacles and the Queen of Wands. The Three of Pentacles is the proverbial riding the bike card. In it’s essence we see all the parts working together to learn and achieve a sense of adequacy. The Queen of Wands is our Aries energy, taking charge and moving forward in a passionate and confident manner.

Our rune stone for today’s Full Moon is Thurisaz. This rune acts much like Chiron and is shaped like a thorn. This rune speaks of reaction and directed force of destruction and defene. This shows us our instinctual will power and leads us towards change, catharsis and purging. This rune is symbolic of masculine sexuality and reiterates our need to empower its energy in our life where is it needed.
