Venus & Uranus Retrograde Opposition: Feminine Integration
A client expressed frustration today due to others constantly not listening, not letting her take ownership of her own ideas or projects or when expressing ideas or opinions, others just re wording them, laced in a critical tone or correction to what she had said but in reality was the same exact thing she had expressed just in a much more chewed up and reduced version. This is a product of our system over valuing the masculine modes over the feminine. There is reward for this type of thinking as well as security granted for this type of thinking. We see the consequences of this inequality on micro levels in subtleties through conversation and exchanges. The feminine has a gift to speak of overall quality and holistic approaches to problems and their solutions, yet the more masculine approach to hyper reduce, define and cateorgize our communication for competitive means and is more likely seen as the solution and end all achievement. This can leave people who are more prone to feminine thinking feeling unheard, when what is expressed is chewed up, processed and spit out then given the stamp of approval only after the masculine mode has had its way. This also leaves the masculine modes feeling limited in expression and confined to leaving the other half of them at home and frankly the other half of the team behind. It can be damaging to everyone. This is not limited to gender roles. Having gender roles at all is a product of linear masculine mode of thinking. This can happen female to female with differences to race or class. There is often a more masculine approach that is rewarded thus sustaining inequalities at all levels.
Most of these things are so subtle but so damn important because they represent a much larger picture: survival. We are conditioned to default on these ways because the system that currently provides for us is built on this mode. Opposing it means a lack of security because there has yet to be a system built that feels safe with both modes in harmony. We need to find alternative ways to addressing these imbalances and empower all individuals to utilize their feminine modes more. W can start with small, new approaches to our communication that encourage this integration. To use intuition, non linear and sometimes unexplainable or indigenous knowledge and wisdom to create. To inspire the empowerment and integration of feminine modes.
Bypassing the urge to fix in your masculine mode is hard stuff. It asks that you be more comfortable in the unknown and ultimately chaos. But bypassing your own masculine thinking helps value and integrate more feminine and whole approaches. It also offers trust to those who you are working with. It will help to eliminate subtle energies of hierarchy and achieve more balance and wholeness for the whole collective. With these things kept in mind and the courage to integrate them I believe we can see small but sustainable transitions in our cultures and ultimately our systems and what we are creating.
