Transmuting the Change

On November 30th at the end of this month, we will have a partial Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Gemini. This Eclipse will continue a longer cycle between the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity, which happens to be the polarity that rules the identity and face of the Unites States (1st house) and the relationships between us all, as well as with the rest of the world (7th house). This coming eclipse signals the ending, the climax and culmination of a cycle in the sign of Gemini. This will largely effect how we have communicated, shared information, accessed education, and processed together, as well as how inequities, imbalances or falsities in in these realms have held us captive, distracted or conditioned us.

Mercury currently is moving through the sign of Scorpio, after turning direct on November 3rd. For the last few weeks, since October 13th, Mercury has been in retrograde. It moved back into the sign of Libra for a while where it now is onward through Scorpio. One of the last times Mercury has traversed this territory was in the fall of 2018, when the #MeToo movement launched itself into the collective psyche.

Mercury, and especially Mercury aspected to Uranus, has a propensity to bring about communication that supports revolution. It can assist in the arising of a narrative that helps to ground momentum in collective movement. This week we will experience a Mercury / Uranus opposition. In 2011, the Mercury / Uranus opposition, we had the birthing of the Occupy Movement, giving us the framework of the “top 1% and the 99%” as a means to critique capitalism. For the first time, we had the intellectual framework to identify something that had been there all along.

Neptune later this month highlights the role of the collective imagination, and perhaps the political apparatus that each of us are living in. Neptune grants us the perceptive conditions in order to understand a world view, to become lost in another’s, or to visualize our own into existence. As Neptune moves direct, just the day before our Gemini Lunar Eclipse, we will understand that there is much beyond what we have known. Neptune can be both inspirational as well as disillusioning.

On the same day of the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Gemini, we will have an exciting trine from Mercury to Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in the sign of Capricorn. The systems have been going through a purge in Capricorn, where at this time we can begin to see Mercury becoming a visible ally to the untangling from the old system. At this same time, we have Venus, in Scorpio, making an opposition to Uranus, giving a further rise to the movement. Venus is the life-sustaining planet, it creates the material structures that we imagine and design, for better or for worse. This opposition can challenge the structures and institutions that continue to invest in and value that which creates more decay, rather than more equity and sustainability. Venus during this opposition, will apply the tension to allow a further grassroots momentum to take form. It’s also important to note, that at this moment Mars, moving ahead though the sign of Aries will begin to work harmoniously with the Nodes of the Moon, aligning to a sort of evolutionary path its higher expression of individual assertion. Just after this, Mar again will be challenged, for the last of three times by the old system (Jupiter, Saturn & Pluto in Capricorn). We will see yet again attempts at hanging on to the old. This is the rising of a people. A people powered movement.

It’s important to keep the big picture in mind, that while there will be this sort of sway and oscillation between the movements momentum, and the powers that be that seek to oppress it, that the Astrology 100% supports a new path forward. As we move towards the Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Gemini with Mercury in the terrain of Scorpio, take the risk to dive deep. To understand your self as well as others in a way perhaps has in the past seemed too taboo, too scary or too complex to access. This time will ultimately support us in letting go of an old life, an old identity, an outdated way of expressing and communicating, and allow us to bring more of our full expression into form.

Till next time,

Ash
