Full Moon in Sagittarius + Lilith + Grand Trine
One of my favorite folklore tales is that of Lilith. The archetype that Liilth's character embody's has inspired a huge facet of the reasons I do the work that I do. The story goes back to the tale of Adam & Eve. Lilith was said to have been Adam's first partner. God made Lilith and Adam and Adam couldn't understand the concept of consent, or equality in their relationship. This angered Lilith to the point of leaving the Garden. Because of this, many have re-told the tale demonizing Lilith as a dark demon figure that ate babies and seduced others to their deaths. When it was realized that Lilith would not be returning, God made Eve to take the place. For all of these years human's have told the story that the serpent in the garden was a temptress of desire, seducing Eve to take a bite from the apple from the tree of knowledge. Another story goes that the serpent in the Garden was Lilith reminding Eve of empowerment, the life, death, life cycle and the nature of balance. Lilith was not tempting Eve, warning of the paradigm that would be created if chosen to submit to Adam and begin the paradigm of relating in an unequal dynamic.
This Full Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, the proverbial truth seeker and freedom fighter. Referring to my last post regarding the new moon in Taurus and Uranus making it's shift, the shake up is here. Lilith has been conjuncting Pluto in the sign of Capricorn for the entire month of may. We are being enormously supported in shaking up the status quo in order to assert our independence and honor the independent nature in us all.
Personally, today is the day that I launch WAYFINDER. It's taken some spiritual warfare to feel strong enough to branch out on my own and create the work I want to do independently. What are the structures in your life that are not supporting you? Is there anything active in your life that is holding you back, making you feel less then or taken advantage of? This Full Moon is the perfect time to shake loose the restraints and take action towards something more suited for you. It is also the perfect time to unite and support one another in our rising up.
Alongside this energy we have a really positive Grand Water Trine that is active. The Grand Trine is affecting Venus in Cancer, Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio in Retrograde. This is amazing energy supporting our "feminine" thinking and values. It will aid us in feeling light and guided spiritually, emotionally and intuitively at this time.
A Grand Trine is when you have three Trines, all in the same element making a trine in every direction giving the appearance of a triangle in the chart. A Kite, is an aspect involving a Grand Trine and adding a point that trine two of the points while opposing the furthest point creating the appearance of a Kite.
The day after the full moon we will have the moon making a degree to the Grand Trine exact at 15 degrees. What this does is it creates a Kite. Venus in Cancer will feel the opposition, a pull to alter course from the cozy corners of the 4th house. This house rules the caregiver, Venus, rules the feminine thinking. When we get an opposition like this to a Grand Trine, it gives us the tension to ACT. With the moon in Sagittarius in the 10th house of work, reputation and how the world views you, I believe we will see an increasing number of people being empowered to rise up for the type of world that we want to live in. We will see this in our personal lives as well in our collective. With all this Water and Fire it is important to note that many of these changes may not be visible so much in our external worlds right away. These are huge internal shifts taking place. We are being asked to use the water energy of the Grand Trine to trust in where we are being pulled to and with the fire in the Full Moon in Sagittarius, to leap forward into it. We are allowed to have confidence in doing this without having all the answers.
